When Zak, our Founder, was working at home one day, his housemate was working hard studying for university when his keyboard suddenly broke!
Urgently in need of a new keyboard, he asked Zak to go and get him one from the local Apple store, to which Zak agreed to collect for a small charge. This was Zak’s distinct lightbulb moment. “Why is on-demand delivery not widely available besides fast food and groceries?” he asked himself.
He realised that, like his friend, there are plenty of people in situations where they may not visit a local store for what they need easily. So Zak spotted an opportunity to create a service that would help the lives of those with childcare commitments, illnesses, vulnerability, and more. The mission began to allow anyone to get what they need the very same day instead of waiting anywhere from days to even weeks to get them.
When Zak started DelivrMe, he had one goal in mind: to shake up what we know about the delivery sector, and now with over 800 riders in Birmingham alone, the future is purple!
